1997 / HIGHLIGHTS.
EST. HAMES LEVACK
Making our first work on a piece of old Carpet in 1995, it was two years later when Pete Hames and I began to commercialise our art with a gallery exhibtion in Leeds.
Performance art gigs, more exhibitions and a move to London developed into a ten year collaboration.
The comapny became Thames Levack after Pete’s departure in 2005.
RUNNER
I was lucky enough to get my work experience at YTV (Yorkshire TV) which was a big player in the late nineties. My first job was with the late Richard Whiteley and Carol Vorderman.
My main role was to seat fill for members of the elderly audience who had nipped off to the loo.
My time at YTV had me work on other productions including Heartbeat, Emmerdale and various kids TV dramas.
ART DIRECTOR
I put together all the visuals for Leeds band Bingo.
We departed on many tours of the UK, headlined the local taverns on a Saturday night and hosted The Saturday morning breakfast show on Leeds Student Radio.
We played alongside Helen and Ruston Parva, who now go under the names Corrine Bailey Rae and The Kaiser Chiefs.
